Welcome to the International Christian School of Uijeongbu!

Welcome to a new school year at ICSU! We are thankful for your partnership with us in your child’s education and we are confident that 2026-2027 will be another great school year.

For over forty years, ICSU has welcomed students from all nationalities and backgrounds with the dual purposes of providing an excellent education and sharing the love and message of Jesus Christ with students. We are proud to be part of the legacy of this fine institution and to join in its mission.

As we strive to live a Christian life, we cannot neglect our role in the community of Christ and of ICSU. Teachers, students, parents, and administrators each have a unique and important role to play in our school community. Each person contributes to the overall morale and culture of the school. This handbook provides guidelines that allow us to live in harmony and provide a safe environment where each person is valued and cared for. As a school we see each child as a precious gift from God and we will do our best to administer these guidelines with fairness and consistency. As students and parents, we ask that you honor and respect them by doing your best to follow them as written. Please read through the handbook carefully, and do not hesitate to contact the school office if you need further clarification or additional information.

This year our school’s theme verse is one of Jesus’ last admonishments to his disciples before his crucifixion and it is still very relevant to us today.

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” - John 16:33 (NIV)

As a school community, we will explore what it means to fully embrace the peace Jesus offers us, even in the midst of trouble and chaos. We pray that each person would find resilience, encouragement, and peace from the work of Christ on our behalf.
